Sydney’s Birthday Party

Well, I officially have a one year old now so, hopefully my life will settle a bit…at least till she starts walking! LMAO

I have been so busy over the last few weeks with her birthday party (a nice intimate gathering for her and 40 of her closest family and friends! LOL) that I have had ZERO computer time.

We had Sydney’s party on Saturday and it was great. She was an absolute doll even though she didn’t pass out for a nap till about 5pm. The party was at 1pm but we spent the morning in the party room getting the food prepared, the tables layed out etc. etc. Syd crawled around the whole time and made a royal mess of herself! LOL Thankfully, I hadn’t put on her party outfit so, it was as easy as a wipedown and re-dress right before the party started.

I didn’t get many pics at the party because I was busy in the kitchen putting out the munchies, cleaning that up, putting out the food, cleaning that up and then finally putting out the coffee and dessert (WHEW) but, I did manage a few:

Then, after everyone STOPPED staring and went off to get their own dessert, she started to get into it:

LOL All in all it was a great day! She made out like a little bandit and has a room full of new toys and a closet full of some great new clothes.

We also got her 1 year pics done last week and had the prints done for the party:

We also had Sydney’s 12 month appointment today and she now weighs in at 17lbs 9oz. Not a HUGE growth from her last appointment but, the doc is happy with her developement and the fact that she is hitting all of her milestones. All of her results came back from her bloodwork and all is normal. I guess she is just a petite little thing. She had her 12 month shots today as well and she handled them like a little trooper. She screamed bloody murder after the first shot (her MMR – Measels, Mumps, Rubella) which is supposed to sting quite a bit but, she settled pretty quickly and was a happy camper on the ride home. She passed out for her afternoon nap shortly after I got her home and slept till about 4:45. She was a touch cranky after her nap so, I think the area might have been tender. She also felt a bit warm to me before I put her down for the night so, I gave her another dose of Tempra and she seems to be ok now (I just checked on my sleeping sweatheart a few minutes ago). We shall see how she does tomorrow!

Well, I am off for some pre-bed snuggle time with my honey!
