It is official!

As of 9AM this morning, we own a house (conditional on finance and house inspection of course!)!

We went back and forth a few times but the point of problem was the closing date! LOL We originally went in with the 13th of May, they came back with the 27th, we went back with the 20th and they came back again with the 27th! 😦 So, our closing is now May 27th which is totally doable but puts a wrench in our two weekend clean one move the next plan.

So, we get the keys by 6PM on Friday, then the plan is that I will clean at the new house (steam and everything) on the Saturday while Pat loads up the truck at the condo (we cannot book a move on a Sunday so all of our stuff will have to be out on the Saturday or it won’t get out till Monday). Then, Sunday morning we can spend the day unloading and unpacking at the new place. That gives us Monday to go back to the condo and make sure we didn’t miss anything and to hand our keys over to the landlord! It will be a jam packed weekend but it should be fine!

We have the house inspection booked for this Saturday but I don’t anticipate them finding any problems.

We had a busy weekend that just passed. Saturday we went to my aunt and uncles for Natalia’s 1st birthday party! We had a great time and the birthday girl looked like an absolute princess in her party dress (even when she had blue icing on her forehead!). I started with a bit of a scratchy throat on Saturday as well but I was hoping to fend it off. I had no such luck and woke up Sunday morning barely able to speak. I had a bridal shower to go to so I took a nice long hot shower and it did feel a bit better. However, by the end of the day, I was useless and got home and crashed on the couch for the evening! Hubby got home from a visit with his mom at about 9PM and was sweet enough to make me some soup. My throat is still pretty scratchy today and I slept very badly last night so, I am trying to get stuff done so I can go home early.

I don’t understand what it is with me and getting sick during major life events! LMAO I remember the NASTY UTI and ear infection I got the week before my wedding and now the week that we buy a house I get this nasty sore throat!
